Mystery BoxWhat is a Mystery Box dinner?  Mystery Box dinners were born out of Chef Matthew’s desire to experiment more with local, seasonal,  unusual and/or expensive ingredients while truly guiding a guest’s experience.  Generally, each Mystery Box is five to seven courses, including at least one dessert course and beverage pairings for all courses.   Dinners usually last 2.5-3 hours.

I have the following allergies and/or dietary restrictions.  As always, we will try to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions when possible with advance notice.  Because of the nature of the Mystery Box dinner, though, substitutions “on the fly” may not be available.  Please call if you have any questions about a specific dinner.

Sounds great.  How do I sign up?  Tickets are now required for Mystery Box dinners.  The price of your ticket, which will vary depending on the theme and/or ingredients for each event, includes all courses, your choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage pairings, and gratuity.  Sales tax will be added when you check out.  You won’t even need to bring your wallet to dinner!

Where do I buy tickets?  Tickets are available on our Events page – just click on the dinner you wish to attend.

What if I am buying my own ticket, but attending with a group?  Please note your group’s name in the “Special Requests” box when you check out.

I bought a ticket, but now I can’t make the dinner.  Mystery Box tickets are non-refundable, but we understand that sometimes things come up.  If you email us your cancellation at least 48 hours prior to the dinner, we will be happy to apply the price of your ticket to a future Mystery Box dinner.  You can email us at events@therumormillrestaurant.com.

Is it possible to create a Mystery Box-type experience for my own group?  Absolutely!  You can choose your theme, ingredients or even cocktails and we will take it from there.  Just give us a call or shoot us an email (see below).
